Hokuto Katsui (b. 1973, Tokyo) studied design at the Parsons School of Design. Nao Yagi (b. 1973, Osaka) studied art criticism at Doshisha University. After meeting at Central Saint Martins, the duo returned to Japan and founded mintdesigns in 2001.
