Designer Misa Takeuchi worked for four years as a corporate designer in Tokyo, before moving to France to attend the L'Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Upon graduation, she gained further career experience under Isabel Marant and Veronique Leroy. While in France, Takeuchi began privately making garments for herself and friends, which planted the seed for PHOTOCOPIEU.
